Tea Tree Essential Oil

Tea tree oil is derived from the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia which is a small tree, native to Queensland and New South Wales, Australia.

The Aboriginal people of Australia, has been using tea tree oil as a traditional medicine for centuries. To treat coughs and colds, or healing the skin, the Aborigines will crush the tea tree leaves, then inhale or apply it directly to the area on the skin for healing.

Tea tree oil contains a number of compounds, including terpinen-4-ol. It is nature’s remedy to treating bacterial and fungal skin conditions, preventing infection, and promoting healing.
